Do you use Twitter on a daily basis? If you do so, then you know where all the tabs are that you need to read tweets and replies. So Twitter has started experimenting with switching some places of the tabs that browsers use most regularly.
On Twitter, next to ‘Home’ is the ‘Notifications’ tab on the web and Android. It does not come as a surprise as Twitter keeps on playing around with different things and people are tossed into buckets for testing. The recent change has been promising which can also be applied on Android. The medium wants you to spend more time on its Moments product, which it’s paying to market with TV commercials.
The usage of Moments in tweets has increased and more and more of its employees have started sharing it. But to some, it’s bordering on inappropriate promotion rather than helping the flow of information happen when something big goes down. For Twitter, Moments plays an important role.
But for the iOS app, nothing has really changed. The company has yet to share how the product is being received or what the activity is for them, only saying it has been a success.
