This is one exciting news for all the American citizens who plan to visit the White House every year during holidays. Google is here to help them via virtual reality. It is helping them ring in the holidays with a new kind of peek inside the White House.
The VR tour inside the presidential residence shows the structure of the house and how it is decorated on Christmas along with a background narration that explains the history of the White House during the holidays. Most of the virtual tour uses static imagery, but a few moments offer full motion video. More than that, it includes a cameo by President Barack Obama’s favorite furry friend, Bo.
A team of 89 volunteers had assembled the building’s décor. Many special rooms were decorated by several well-known fashion designers. It is known to all about the keen interest First Lady Michelle Obama shows in every aspect of the presidential abode. Thus, designers were especially hand-picked by her. The team included the big names like Opening Ceremony, Carolina Herrera, Kenzo and DuroOlowu.
A 16-camera circular array from Google’s Jump programwas used for making the tour of the White House possible. This is a new source of amusement for the viewers through virtual reality to get a glimpse of the history of the presidential house and experience a journey with the help of Google.
