CEO of Google, Larry Page announced in August, “You need to be a bit uncomfortable to stay relevant.” Remaining aligned with that philosophy, the founder and co-founders have decided to reinvest their $500 billion worth of company hence will result in the creation of many Googles.
In August, the founders of the company have announced the formation of a new company by providing a well-researched and carefully planned name Alphabet that will have separate small business entities each having adequate potential to shine and succeed. The entities include Venture capital firms, high-speed broadband investments and smart home gadget makers, according to Mashable.
Larry Page and his co-founders of Google have designated new roles and responsibilities for other employees, by specifically focusing into construct something bigger and more valuable for the society. The existent board of members has appointed Sundar Pichai as the new CEO of Google who will keep an eye out for everyday things taking place at Google while promising to cater for more valuable and promising demands in the future.
Even within four months, we have already witnessed a few major innovations introduced by Google in the market.
Under the leadership of this new CEO, the company has redesigned its logo. Alphabet will have its own life sciences division primarily for delivering health products to its customers after testing those for ensuring user safety.
Here the few primary letters one must look for in 2016:
A = Acquisitions:
The main objective of Alphabet is to carve highly popular businesses and its owners through the internal forces of the company. Hence, it will set a clear path following which business acquisitions and mergers will become simpler. Twitter, on the other hand, has decided to function in the market alone even after merging with Google; however, Google’s capital will act as a cushion for withstanding any loss in the long run. By introducing another successful company, the rate of return for investors also becomes more, which will be seen next year.
C = Cloud:
Google has recently decided to upgrade its cloud computing very recently as they remained behind Amazon Web store and Azure. But after re-hiring Diane Greene, the co-founder of VMware and the leading idea generator of Cloud Computing, a number of changes have been introduced which made people raise their eyebrows (of course they are impressed), and Google wants its users to address it as a cloud company by the year of 2020.
L = Larry:
Larry Page has already proved his worth by being the CEO of Google, and again he must maintain his image for taking Alphabet to the same place where Google is right now. As a successful businessman, he must look for more promising and profitable businesses for investments, and simultaneously ensure that such new businesses attain success. Only if the startups and young businesses are able to make profits, Alphabet can be considered to be another successful initiative from Larry Page.
M = Mobile:
Google has been continuously investing its profits to manufacturing smartphones as its revenue from online ads has fallen compared to what Facebook has been making lately. After analysis and study, it has been found out that if Google manages to bolster its mobile marketing activities in the short run and work for increasing profits of Alphabet’s other small businesses in the long run, then it has a big window for attaining success within a short time.
S = Self-Driving Cars:
Alphabet wants to create a single department solely designed for manufacturing self-driving cars in 2016. This is not only going to introduce fully automatic vehicles but also going to imitate the Uber ride-hailing experience. However, within hours after broadcasting the news, California law enforcement has issued a strict law stating that human drivers must remain behind the wheels of such self-driving cars making it more difficult for Google’s autonomous vehicles to drive on the roads as these latest designs do not have even had a steering wheel for control.
Let’s just keep our fingers crossed to find out how Google Alphabet and future plans are going to revolutionize internet experience of users. With such astounding inventions at work yet to get revealed, I can’t really wait to see what is in store for us.
