Samsung has been indicating at arrangements for a foldable phone for quite some time. Recently a new patent filed by the company to the United States Patent and Trademark Office, uncovers the rumored device could have even more than we suspected.
Spotted by Patently Mobile, Samsung’s recording portrays a foldable device with a built-in projector or hologram module. The device could conceivably show 3D stereoscopic pictures in the air or onto a screen. The organization doesn’t go into much detail on how these would function, yet it’s certainly a fascinating thought.
Concerning the outline, Samsung offers two different alternatives, however both feature a large flexible display that folds using a couple of hinges. One portrayal demonstrates a bulkier device that looks somewhat like Nintendo’s 3DS when it’s folded up. A second slimmer version looks more like a paper scratch pad.
Though Samsung filed the patent earlier in June, but it wasn’t published publicly until December. The company is expected to discharge some kind of foldable mobile phone in 2016.
Samsung has never officially accepted or denied the leaks of designs of its foldable phones rather chose to remain silent and observe what customers demand for. It’s still unknown when the patented device will go for production.
