Las Vegas is in a festive mood as the CES 2016 is knocking at the door. The world will see some crazy and innovative products from various tech giants all over the world. LG display, the world’s leader in display technology is also getting prepared to blow your mind. The South-Korean tech giant has developed a prototype 18-inch screen that rolls up like a piece of paper, according to a press release by them.
LG has been working on bendable and curving displays for a long time. Last year, the company showed a similar concept while keeping the image behind the door. Looks like, this time LG is ready to flaunt their bending power to the world.
In 2013, another tech giant Samsung unveiled a prototype device with an entirely flexible display. However, the device hasn’t yet made it to production. Sony also showcased an OLED flexible display in 2010, which you could wrap around a thin cylinder while it was still producing moving images. This foldable display indicates that LG has plans for this futuristic type of display.
The company will also showcase a 25-inch curved screen installed inside a car at the show’s Auto Zone section. Also the company is going to unveil its first HDR compatible TV line up, a 15.6-inch laptop weighting just 980 grams.
