For the technology lovers and tech giants, 2016 has started with a bang. This year’s Consumer Electronics Show has become all about the best of big screens, HDR, wireless and what not. And, that last year’s winner of CES award in the tablet category, Dell, would be back with even more show-stopping products, is nothing new. But unfortunately, this year most of Dell’s products are not for PCs. The standouts are a pair of wireless displays, which come in 23- and 23.8-inch sizes.
Dell 23 Wireless Monitor Gallery:
Dell’s 23 wireless monitor is for wireless mirroring of content from Windows laptops and Android phones. But it’s not the 23-incher itself that will be more interesting. It is specifically for the consumers. But the 24-inch one is intended more for commercial use. It has a wireless charging module in the base that’ll work with Qi- and PMA-compatible devices.
The smaller monitors have dual three-watt speakers, while the bigger ones have none. But the bigger models have improved color accuracy and skinnier bezels. Both the smaller and the larger models will be available from March 31st this year with the 23 starting at $429 and the 24 at priced at $469 or more than that.
The PC lovers need not be fully disappointed as Dell also came up with a PC for CES 2016 in Vegas. The Latitude 11 5000 series is an 11-inch (technically 10.8-inch) Windows 2-in-1 for business users that’s comprised of a tablet and detachable keyboard. That arrives early next month starting at $749.
Thus, Dell may not be this year’s best tech giant but it certainly came up with something new (wireless monitor). Most of it products are for business purposes, unlike last year. Having said that, we can hope Dell will not lose its loyal customers anyway.
