BMW automobile company have exhibited many of its brand new concept cars at its 2016 Consumer Electronics Show including its wonderfully vibrant orange i8 Mirrorless and Vision Future Interaction. The lead designer for both of these amazing concepts cars is Adrian Van Hooydonk, the head designer of BMW Group. He has been a sincere employee working at BMW for more than 20 years ever since 1992.
According to Business Insider, “The next step of technology development will see technology disappear from the surface, ” Van Hooydonk said. “In the Vision Concept, you don’t see any switches but there is some very complex technology working in the background making that possible.”
Generally, this Dutch lead designer of the latest concepts discussed the consequences of technology and ways the traditional designs of cars will eventually shift for adapting with the upcoming changes.
All of the already integrated technologies with cars are quite evident and users know how to utilize them. The car designer stated how diverse the technology will become in the future, by adding varieties and uniqueness.
“I believe we are approaching a time where technology is truly becoming integrated into the design of the cars, so integrated that you don’t see it, you just use it.” The latest eye-catching vibrant Vision concept car’s leather seat is touch sensitive, as a result, the driver of the car will be able to use a touchpad even without realizing it, or seeing it be more precise. Let’s not forget its contactless touchscreen gesture control technology, a never before felt experience in vehicles.
When reporters asked what will become of this ultimate driving machine if it eventually turns into a driverless cars? To that, Mr. Hooydonk replied,
“We don’t want to take anything away from our customers, most of all the driving pleasure, with technology, we can make our customers better drivers and help take away some of the downsides of individual mobility.”
Sometimes car parking can become stressful when the availability of car spots becomes scarce. As a result, during such stressful conditions, the automatic features will take over and you will not need to lose your temper as the car will find its own spot for parking. While driving on open roads, you can take over your ride and cruise as long as you please.
“We will have the technology and we will have the great driving experience,” he added. “It will be up to the driver to choose how to use it.”
