If you use any selfie app on your smartphone, surely you want to share them with the world. However, there’s no easy way to make that happen for most apps. Microsoft can understand your pain. So, it just updated its less than one-month-old Microsoft Selfie App, which is already one of the most favorite among the iOS apps with new features.
Behind the two new features: easier social sharing and an updated user interface there’s the company’s Beijing based team that has been paying close attention to user feedback. The sharing feature makes it almost dime to satisfy in a little pride. Just tap on the button and post your latest shot directly on Facebook, or another to bring up the iOS sharing dialogue and spread the glee through the apps.
To avoid extensive refinements the app uses Microsoft Research’s Face Technologies to help determine the age, gender and skin tone of a person. Also, the Digital Face Clean, a new portrait enhancement technique removes intelligently unwanted features like wrinkles and baggy eyelids. However, it preserves the desired characteristics like hair, mustaches, tattoos and other features.
While other existing apps either fail in dim lighting conditions or produce totally unnatural looking portraits, Microsoft Selfie is natural, intelligent and user-friendly. The app is currently available only in iOS and we are still not sure when it will be available for Android or Windows.
