It’s already known that Apple is preparing to launch another 4-inch iPhone called the iPhone 5se. Sources said that the new phone is basically the 2013 iPhone 5s with significant internal hardware and software upgrades. Prior bits of gossip about a cutting-edge smaller iPhone model also called the “iPhone 6c” said that it would be like the iPhone 6 in appearance.
Today, thanks to 9to5Mac a case maker source showed us a diagram that lines up with what we have been hearing lately from sources who have used the iPhone 5se: the device looks much like a 5s.
The case maker source lets us know that the phone’s measurements are completely same as the iPhone 5s, implying that the new device will fit within the existing iPhone 5s cases. There are only two or three changes. To start with, these schematics demonstrate that –
- The sleep/wake/power button has been migrated to the side.
- The edges of the phone and the front glass panel are slightly curved, but not as curved as the sides of the iPhone 6 and 6s
- A small camera bump.
If rumors are to be believed Apple will launch its upcoming iPhone 5se at an event on March 15th. Till then we have to wait a little longer before we see the device.
