Grand Theft Auto VI May Consider TOKYO For Their Next Franchise, Reports Said!

A source from TechRadar revealed the secret of the next iteration in Rockstar’s famous franchise, of Grand Theft Auto VI, said to be considered in Tokyo. The source also revealed some interesting details of the gameplay and story as well. In the first place, the anonymous source told the site that Rockstar Games was considering making a “full” Grand Theft Auto game set in Tokyo and even sent staff to the Japanese city for an exploration trip.

We found the revealed report from TechRadar,

“The road system was seen to be problematic and became one reason the idea was canned. Our source added that, as time has gone on, Rockstar has realized the difficulty in moving Grand Theft Auto outside of the USA, where it has firmly embedded itself. There are a number of series staples, from brands to cars, that Rockstar would likely have to change if a future GTA was set somewhere else.”

TechRadar likewise brings up that Rockstar guardian organization recorded trademark applications in 2003 for GTA: Tokyo, and in addition GTA: Bogota and GTA: Sin City. None of those ever appeared. In December 2003, Take-Two Interactive really documented trademarks for GTA: Tokyo, GTA: Bogota and additionally the especially puzzling Grand Theft Auto: Sin City.

The source also included that, as time has gone on, Rockstar has understood the trouble in moving Grand Theft Auto outside of the USA, where it has solidly implanted itself. There are various arrangement staples, from brands to autos, that Rockstar would likely need to change if a future GTA was set elsewhere.

Bits of gossip about Rockstar dealing with another Grand Theft Auto game are not too shocking. Take-Two has named the establishment “lasting,” which essentially ensures new sections in the arrangement are coming. Moreover, previous Rockstar supervisor Leslie Benzies said before that Rockstar has “a few thoughts” for Grand Theft Auto 6.
