The chat app giant Snapchat, who has taken over the collective conscience of all teenagers and many adults alike, just received an update. Snapchat 2.0 comes with stickers, audio, and video support.
Snapchat was smooth from the start but the update has made it even more sleek, it is most evident when seeing the transition effects by going from one menu to a chat thread.
There are now over 200 new stickers to choose from, and they are all searchable via the keyboard.
When it comes to the audio and video, 10 seconds of audio or video can be sent if the friend you were messaging is not available right then. The updated design makes it even more effortless to start a video, and the messaging screen now holds the pictures the user may have taken right there for convenient access. Sharing and talking is now the way to go.
When we head over to the stories section, we see that when you finish a story the app will take you to the next one, there is also the option to swipe left to see the next story.
The Snapchat blog holds a statement which reads, “Today, we’re excited to introduce Chat 2.0. You can start by sending a few chats, and when your friend shows up, start talking or video chatting instantly with one tap. Your friend can simply listen if you want to sing them a song, or watch if you have a new puppy to show them. If they aren’t there, you can quickly send an audio note to say what you mean. And sometimes, a sticker says it best :).”
