Be it in the gym, in the office, or in class, or just sitting at home, SoundCloud is special to many people for a variety of reasons. They have now decided to introduce a subscription service which will cost $9.99 per month called SoundCloud Go.
It seems the Germany company wants to take on the big leaders in the streaming business, Apple Music, Spotify, or even Google Music. As for the monthly fee, $9.99 seems to have become the industry standard of how much a company can charge customers per month.
Those who already use SoundCloud Pro will only have to pay $4.99 per month. As for Apple users they are in bad luck as they will have to pay $12.99.
The SoundCloud blog states, “We’re happy to announce that SoundCloud Go, our subscription service for listeners, is now available in the U.S.
SoundCloud Go is the same SoundCloud you’ve known for years taken to the next level: with an expanded catalog of tracks that are new to the platform, new features and new functionality.”
As for the features that the paid users will get, the blog reveals:
With SoundCloud Go, you get:
- Even more tracks from emerging and established creators– including the massive hits, the latest tracks from the biggest names, the sounds of the underground, the most engaging podcasts and the best of what’s up-and-coming – all in one place
- The ability to listen offline on your mobile device without a cell signal or internet connection
- An uninterrupted, ad-free listening experience
It seems that not many people will be surprised by this paid subscription plan, as SoundCloud Pro already existed, but after all has been said and done, we hope SoundCloud keeps its users happy.
