In the modern era, Microsoft is a remarkable name around the globe and the tech business, it is the most powerful tech giant ever built in history.
You may be surprised hearing that about 36 years ago nearly at the beginning of the year in 1980 on 2nd of April the tech giant disclosed its first hardware product such as a computer card which was used for the Apple II computer.
Recently, Marcel Brown published a news on “This Day in Tech History” about Microsoft’s beginning days’ hardware products like a computer card which used for Apple II computer, and the prosecution was like Opening up the Apple II, insert the card in and it permitted the Apple II to run programming on an alternate, elective working framework known as CP/M. This permitted Apple II clients to purchase programming worked for CP/M machines, including running a word preparing program called WordStar, which not made by Microsoft.
Furthermore, according to Brown, he stated that “At one point, the SoftCard product will bring in about half of Microsoft’s total revenue. It will be discontinued in 1986 as CP/M’s popularity waned,”
More importantly, just a couple of day ago on Friday 1st of April Apple celebrated its 40th birthday party at the outside of Apple’s Cupertino campus, and interestingly the company shared with the viewers that the tech giant Microsoft has been in the hardware trade for just about as long.
