One of the benefits of having a smartwatch is you can just look at your watch and know the time, the date, the weather and notifications like phone calls, text messages and what not, instead of fishing your phone out of your pocket continuously. And if you have an Android Wear, from now on you can also check your Outlook emails from there. Microsoft just updated Outlook for Android with improved Android Wear support. Once installed, you will be able to check any notifications that pop, and use voice dictation and pre-set responses to bang out a quick reply, reported by Android Central.
“This week, we’re bringing the best of Outlook to Android Wear. Stop reaching out for your phone; everything is now happening on your watch. Check your Outlook notifications, read your new emails and reply with pre-set messages or voice dictation right from your wrist. It’s never been that easy to manage your inbox,” The Company describes the integration.
So, if you are using an Android Wear along with Microsoft’s email and calendar solution for Android, you will now be able to enjoy the benefits of both on your Android Wear. It might look a bit awkward that you are speaking with your wrist while replying your emails in a social gathering, but could be beneficiary to those who are always in a hurry or while someone is driving. So, it won’t do any harm if you just give it a try.
