During the launch of a Lenovo smartphone in China, the CEO of the company Yang Yuanqing, has hinted that there will be a big Motorola launch on June 9th. For those unaware, Motorola has been a part of Lenovo since 2014.
Mr. Yang said that the new device will be nothing less than “exciting.”
For weeks’ rumors are swirling around that Lenovo is coming with new iterations of its famous Moto G series this summer. Smartphones in this series have been very popular because of the good combination of price and functionality, as well as the excellent reputation of quick software updates. Smartphones from the Moto G series received a new Android version update very soon after the arrival of the new version.
Based on the latest rumors Lenovo is currently working on the Moto G4 and G4 Plus. In images that have leaked so far, it is visible that the Moto G4 smartphone will be without a fingerprint sensor and Moto G4 Plus is indeed going to get a fingerprint sensor.
Details on both smartphones are missing so far, but will undoubtedly leak in the coming weeks. However, the situation is a little confusing because the Moto G series has always been placed on the low-end market segment, such handsets would hardly be viewed as “exciting.” Especially now that the CEO of Lenovo has already indicated that the company on June 9th has a “great release” on schedule.
