Many people are not happy with the Oculus Rift. The company is also not happy because of the issues of its virtual reality glasses and because of the rumble of customers for the supply of their sought-after gadgets. However, the CEO of Oculus Rift not only allows customers to just come over to him with all the criticism but he also strikes back.
A few day ago, On Reddit, there was a huge discussion about the length of the delivery of Oculus Rift. Customers who ordered the first VR goggles months ago and still haven’t got the gadget, are accusing Oculus Rift of delays of delivery and lack of transparency about the reason.
Oculus Rift Founder Palmer Luckey does not agree with that criticism and looks into the discussion.
“The same people who complain about ‘lack of transparency’ and ‘sterile, corporate communication’ are so very often the same people who berate and hate companies and individuals for anything they ever say that changes at some point,”
Luckey wrote to his critics on Reddit.
“That is why the majority of companies tell you nothing and keep you in the dark on everything unless it is perfectly constructed to keep secrets secret, offend nobody,….. They know a vocal minority of people is going to latch on to anything they say or have said and use it to shit on them, and they let it control them.”
Now, it’s questionable whether the reaction of the CEO will silence the complaints about the gadget. Industry analyst J.P. Gownder said that Luckey’s comments are another example of making the situation worse.
