An Italian tech site called HDBlog.it and 9to5Mac have recently discovered that a Chinese web forum known as Baidu leaked out two new plastic images of the upcoming Apple iPhone 7 series where it has confirmed a major rumor about the iPhone 7 and 7 plus; from the plastic frames it is now clear that only the iPhone 7 plus model, with a 5.5-inch screen, will have the dual-lens camera; while the regular 4.7-inch iPhone 7 model will have a single-lens camera.
The frames of both images could be the very shape that will frame the external packaging of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus; though we still can’t be sure whether those plastic frames are genuine or not until an official announcement comes from Apple that those are the final assemble molds for Apple’s upcoming iPhone 7 series.
In any case, it doesn’t look like the iPhone 7 will be radically different from a configuration or components perspective. Aside from a double lens camera on the Plus model, we hope to see overhauled antenna lines, and as Apple has been saying that they may even take away the earphone jack.
Until Apple confirms or denies these rumors, we’ll just have to wait till September for the official unveiling.
