Paypal has urged all its users to install the upgrade of the application to version 6.0 by the end of June if not done yet. This has been instructed specifically for all the users of Android and iOS but not the users of Windows, Blackberry phones, and Amazon apps. It’s simply because on the same day Paypal will be closing down its apps for all the aforementioned apps too.
The company still did not provide any reasonable cause behind their decision; however, the VP of the company Joanna Lambert confirmed that everyone can gain access to its website and successfully carry out their P2P payments through BBM and simultaneously make payments from their respective accounts on Outlook.
A message from the Vice President regarding Paypal closing down its apps for all the platforms:
“It was a difficult decision to no longer support the PayPal app on these mobile platforms, but we believe it’s the right thing to ensure we are investing our resources in creating the very best experiences for our customers. We remain committed to partnering with mobile device providers, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause our customers.”
Whatever the reasons are, you can be rest assured that these apps will be forever gone and it’s highly unlikely that the company may not change its decision.
