Automation is taking place everywhere and therefore many jobs will be terminated in a few years. Even the pizza delivery boy seems to have fallen into the danger zone. Soon, that function will be taken over by drones. According to a survey by YouGov, where a thousand respondents who took part in the survey expect that the vast majority will be delivered Italian food via drones within twenty years.
The survey was about the ways consumers think technology will change our lives in the next 20 years by advances in technology. 37 percent of them who participated in the survey think commercial space flights could take off from major airports, and 23 percent expect that artificially intelligent robots will be able to serve on the board of a large company.
“London Technology Week shines a light on this hugely important sector of the economy and demonstrates how our city is open to trade, ideas and people from across the globe.”
Said Mayor of London Sadiq Khan.
“Tech-savvy Londoners welcome new digital advances that are going to revolutionize the way that we live and it is crucial that we harness those ideas to help the capital work even better as a city, as someone who has helped to run a successful business, I look forward to supporting the tech sector so it goes from strength to strength over the coming years.”
The survey was conducted with more than 2000 people to mark the beginning of London Technology Week. 3D printing of human organs for transplant, using virtual reality to consult a GP were also in the vision.
