There have long been rumors that Sony would present a new flagship smartphone this fall. the first picture evidence that proves that there is a new high-end smartphone from Sony coming has turned up a day before yesterday.
As we have already reported that the new handset will carry a model number “F8331”, so there is a high chance that it will be placed in the Sony’s Xperia X series. The previous model of the series the Sony Xperia X Performance had the model number “F8131.”
Slightly larger screen
The leaked images show that the display of the new device is slightly larger than the screen of the Sony Xperia X Performance. Since the Xperia X Performance has a 5-inch large screen, it is most obvious that the screen of the new device would of a diameter of 5.2 inches. The screen resolution of the device is reportedly incidentally HD.
NFC on the front side
The front also shows some remarkable changes in the design. Most striking is that Sony has placed the NFC chip next to the speaker. Most smartphones have NFC chip located on the rear of the unit. Again, Sony will undoubtedly have a reason that it will reveal during the introduction of the device. Furthermore, the front also shows front-facing stereo speakers.
The new Sony device will also be the first Sony smartphone to which Sony uses the new type USB Type-C connector. This is placed at the bottom of the device. The pictures also show that the unit (fortunately) also has a 3.5mm audio jack, something that Apple is likely to use this feature on its next generation of iPhones.
Finally, reports say that the new Sony device offers advanced cameras, both front, and rear. With both cameras, it would be possible to film in 4K resolution.
Actual technical details about the device are still missing, but will undoubtedly leak out in the coming days and weeks.
