Over the past few weeks, an iOS photo manipulation app named Prisma has been blowing up. The sensationally popular app was only available on iOS with a beta version that only some Android users could use, till now. As promised, the developers launched an Android version, which can be downloaded straight from the Google Pay Store.
Over 400 million pictures have been “prismed” and over 10.6 million have installed Prisma on iOS after it launch. So, it’s pretty normal that Android users have been eagerly waiting to get their images “prismed” too. According to the developers, all the iOS functionality have been ported over, so there should be no difference in user experience and capabilities.
There have been some complaints about the app’s unresponsive moments, which happened because of server overload due to the specific cloud-based processing the app uses. Unlike Instagram, Prisma doesn’t apply any filter on images. Instead, using some clever AI, it rebuilds your photos by combining them with the style of another image, which makes the photos look much more like they were created by actual human artists rather than some simple algorithms.
So, what are you waiting for? Go to Google Play Store and grab the app and show the world your prismed images.
