Samsung has sued Huawei for alleged patent infringement.
According to Samsung, Huawei Mate 8 and a number of other Honor smartphones have infringed Samsung’s patents.
The South Korean company claims 161 million yuan (21.9 million euros) of Huawei. Samsung also wants the court prohibits the sale of the relevant smartphones.
“Despite our best efforts to resolve this matter amicably, it has regrettably become necessary to take legal action in order to defend our intellectual property,”
Samsung told Reuters in a statement. Huawei is not to substantive discussions on the matter.
A few months ago it was precisely Huawei that dragged Samsung to court for patent infringement. Samsung used 4G technologies, operating systems, and application software where Huawei’s patents claim to have owned.
