Windows 10 has turned out to be an unsuccessful venture by Microsoft; to make matters worse, Microsoft did not even think about constantly bugging its users by frequently notifying them to update their operating system.
Despite paying $10,000 to a lady who was severely irritated by the overwhelming number of notifications related to automatic Windows 10 update for her computer device.
Eventually, two different lawsuits have been exercised against Microsoft. One, for coercing users to install the Windows 10 update and second, for installing the update without the user’s consent. It seems to me that the company is push marketing too hard.
According to The Seattle Times, one lawsuit was filed in the Florida District Court under,
“Violated laws governing unsolicited electronic advertisements, as well as Federal Trade Commission prohibitions on deceptive and unfair practices.”
The above accusation was made by Ahmad Abdulreda, Robert Stahl, and Al Khafaji. A petitioner said,
“Microsoft’s marketing scheme falls short of certain protections which must be afforded.”
Another lawsuit was exercised in Haifa, Israel previous month- regarding the Windows 10 update that was installed without notifying the user. This activity violates the computer law that is widely practiced in Israel.
Microsoft has already incorporated the “cross” button with the Windows 10 upgrade box by selecting which any user can cancel the upgrade option if she wants to. The whole incident of automatic update installation is not entirely new at all.
Microsoft has been constantly seeking out unethical users of their OS who are designing pirated version of this software. And Microsoft is also filing cases against those perpetrators and defiers of the law.
July 29th was the last day of the Windows 10 free installation of upgrade and now you need to pay in order to enjoy all their latest features.
