A brand new algorithm has been formulated by the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence department of the MIT. Using the concept of deep learning, the AI now can predict human behaviors more perfectly than we could ever think of.
A software with “predictive-vision” ability to determine a set of likely actions anyone may follow. The software was injected with 600 hours of Youtube and highly watched TV shows such as- The Big Bang Theory, The Office, and Desperate Housewives. The sole reason is to predict accurate behaviors of two individuals like, whether they’ll kiss, make love, start a fight or maybe even a rap battle with each other.

On the other hand, this software can also predict the next scenes of any particular video just like us. It does this by deciphering body language and facial expressions of the actors who appear on the screen.
“Humans automatically learn to anticipate actions through experience, which is what made us interested in trying to imbue computers with the same sort of common sense,”
The above statement was given by Carl Vondrick, a Ph.D. student at MIT.
The software was shown videos and was also provided with 4 options, from which the AI is asked to predict the right action that will be performed by two or more actors in the next scene. Quite surprisingly, the latest software has successfully answered 43% of the times, compared to the existing AI that made it only 36%, according to Techworm
As easy as this may sound, but even I start biting my nails at times whenever I am watching something really interesting, The Mentalist made me do that a couple of times. The excitement builds up inside is too overwhelming and things get even worse when they decide to end an episode at an awfully crucial scene.
Researchers say that by unlocking such massive ranges of skills, such as predicting human behaviors accurately will also enable robots to navigate itself better by living among humans.
