There is a concept developed by China last May for overcoming its horrendous traffic congestion. A few pictures and videos became massively viral all over the internet seeing how this elevated bus can easily commute without remaining stuck in the traffic. It seemed like it was slowly consuming other vehicles as it travelled overhead letting other vehicles driving underneath it.
As per the news of China’s Xinhua News, this Transit Elevated Bus or TEB-1 was taken out for a test drive on Tuesday in Qinhuangdao, located in Hebei province. The internet once again proved to be a valuable piece of instrument that assisted in transforming this concept into reality.
The elevated bus has a humongous interior space capable of containing 300 passengers in one go. It is 72 feet in length and 25 feet in width. The whole carrier stands 16 feet above the ground providing another 7 feet of space for enabling other transports to drive through.
The whole scenario looks like a giant vehicle eating away all other smaller vehicles as the elevated bus travels.
This concept was first shown in 2010 and again last May of 2016 at the 19th International High-Tech Exhibition that was hosted in Beijing. The main person behind the whole idea is Song Youzhou who is also the designer claimed that more prototypes will be launched. So far five states in China have agreed to launch this elevated bus service; and the states include- Qinhuangdao, Nanyang, Shenyang, Tianjin and Zhoukou.
