Again there are issues around the security of various Android devices. Security researchers have found a new set of vulnerabilities in the operating system, and they say 900 Million (!) Android phones are vulnerable.
The problem dubbed “Quadrooter,” lies in the chips of the American brand Qualcomm. All devices that use a chip of the same brand, and there are many, can be faced with malicious software that is installed on the device. This allows hackers to access all data on the device and its makes eavesdrop easy.
Almost all Android smartphones are vulnerable
Almost all the devices use the chips now a day, including brands like HTC, Sony, Motorola, LG, and Samsung. It is especially recommended not to download apps outside of the Google Play Store because the chances are that the particular malware is spread that way.
According to Google, the problems could be remedied through the monthly security updates.
