One of the most anticipated and hyped games ever “No Man’s Sky” by Hello Games just released on PS4 and got released on PC on 12th August. People eagerly waiting for the game already got their hands on the game and reviews already started coming in.
- Positives – No Man’s Sky takes you to a massive seamless world. Nothing like this has ever been seen before. There is no end to this world. There are 18 quintillion planets so 99.9% of the planets will never be seen by the gamer. This shows you the vastness of this game.
The tech you can use in this game is impressive. From repairing your starship to upgrading your inventory and amazing docking stations. Every tech looks impressive and useful.
The freedom you get to explore the galaxy is unrivaled. No other game comes even close. You can almost do anything you want and no system will try to limit you.
The ships and weapon designs are simply amazing. You will have a constant thought on your mind to upgrade your ship and weapon system. It’s almost addictive.
- Negatives – No matter how revolutionary anything is it will have its flaws. So does No Man’s Sky.
The item management system in this game is really frustrating and the UI also doesn’t help.
The vastness of the games sometimes also hinders the immersion. The things you do in this game can become repetitive. Explore > Mine > Fly> Repeat
The shooting mechanics in this game is not groundbreaking; it’s mediocre at best and the NPC’s are not engaging and don’t have much personality to make you think about them.
No Man’s Sky is immediately a massive game with impressive seamless transitions from ground to space, and it will entertain your inner collector for a while. The more you get to know it, the more you recognize its faults, and it’s easy to fall so deep into the act of exploring and trading that your focus narrows to those aspects alone. If, however, you consider everything it has to offer and listen to what Atlas has to say, No Man’s Sky becomes more than a collection of slightly different worlds in a seemingly never-ending galaxy.
