There was a lot of chatter about Google’s upcoming Pixel phones for a very long time now, and finally, we know when they will be unveiled. They will be shown on October 4th. With a very interesting vague teaser video, Google confirmed that the event will begin at 9AM Pacific Time on October 4th.
So you can see, the teaser video doesn’t reveal much. It shows what looks like Google’s search bar slowly transforming into a shape of a phone. Also, the official Nexus account tweeted the same video with #madebygoogle.
We are fairly certain that HTC will be making the upcoming google devices but maybe Google has involved itself more on the production this time around. This will give credit to the rumor that “Google was building its own smartphone.”
Madeby.google.com website is now also up and live, but now it only shows the teaser video over and over. Perhaps Google will be adding more information to it as the unveiling day comes near, so check it from time to time.
The regular Pixel phone is rumored to have a 5.2-inch Full HD display, powered by Snapdragon 820 and The Pixel XL will be a more expensive and premium phone with metal frame and a 5.5-inch Quad HD display. It might come with a new version of Snapdragon 820 chipset or Snapdragon 821. In terms of the camera, both devices are set to feature a 12-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel selfie-camera.
