Nearly a million people affected by Facebook Virus

A virus that spreads through Facebook, has already caused problems to more than 800,000 people. The new Facebook virus gets through a message from a friend containing a link to a video to the Messenger app users.

The message with the link video.html would refer to a funny movie. If you click it, you go to a page similar to YouTube. Then be prompted to install an extension from the Chrome Web Store. If you do so, malware will be installed automatically on your computer, tablet or smartphone.

Remove virus

People have reported massively on Twitter and Facebook who have been affected by the virus.

If this post is too late and the virus has already attacked your device then follow these steps to remove the malware.

Step 1: Go to your Facebook account’s settings.

Step 2: Then go to App settings.

Step 3: You’ll see Apps, Websites and Plugins settings option

Step 4: Click on the edit button.

Step 5: Disable the platform.

Step 6: Delete all of the spam messages carefully.

Step 7: Then change your password.

Step 8: Clean the cache.

Step 9: Re-clean the temp files from the system.

Step 10: Reset your browser and start it again.
