Note 7 has become a nightmare for Samsung and the suffering doesn’t seem to end. After the recall worldwide, Samsung provided customers with replacement Galaxy Note 7’s. But new reports are surfacing that replacement Galaxy Note 7 phones catching fire, reports Yonhap News. So lastly there are rumors that Samsung is temporarily suspending production of Note 7. The Korean newspaper which broke the news that they got information from inside Samsung. These rumors are surfacing on the heel of AT&T and T-Mobile deciding not to sell Galaxy Note 7 while investigations into the incident continue.
Southwest Flight incident
Everything seemed to be getting better until a replacement Note 7 burned through the carpet on a Southwest flight and then it happened in many other places. This week report surfaced that Samsung has no other option than to halt production altogether. Galaxy Note 7 recall began almost a month before due to phones catching fire but now things seemed there will be another recall. Reporters tried to contact Samsung as well as the CPSC but they didn’t make any comments yet.
But now new update seems to have confirmed that Samsung will halt production. Wall Street journal and Bloomberg both reported the same.
