Will Facebook return to China? Tim Sparapani, Facebook’s first director of public policy and is now principal at SPQR Strategies which is a consulting firm says, “It is not an ‘if’, It is a when”. Moreover, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg said, “You can’t have a mission to want to connect everyone in the world and leave out the biggest country.”
Zuckerberg’s love for China
Mark Zuckerberg is striving to make a good relationship with the Chinese government and business people. Recently, there was a news that went buzzing that the Facebook founder was reading a book, The Governance of China. Additionally, China’s president Xi Jinping himself wrote the book.
However, U.S. internet companies are showing their eagerness to start their business in China. Eventually, these corporations are considering China’s strict policy regarding information censorship.
China banned Facebook in 2009. Now, the CEO of the company wants to have the access to the country no matter what he needs to do.
Once the social network site enters the country it will be a paramount success. China has about 700 million internet users. This large number of internet users is still impenetrable for U.S. companies. Though, just having access to the country is not the does not finish everything. The social networking site will have a hard fight WeChat.
