Ever since Facebook rolled out “Live Video” for every user it gained huge popularity and it is being used for various purposes. So it was a matter of time before all other social media started following suit. Now the social networking app Instagram is going to roll out the live video feature soon. This news was confirmed by Instagram‘s CEO, Kevin Systrom to The Financial Times. On the footsteps of its parent company Facebook, Instagram will use this new feature to increase user count, engagement and session duration with the platform’s users.
When the feature will roll out is not confirmed by the CEO because probably it is still in its testing phases but it has already been seen in beta versions of the app. Snapchat, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube are already competing with each other with “Live Videos” after the feature is live on Instagram then it will join these ranks to win over its users.
Systrom said “the immense overnight success of its Stories feature helped push Live Video. If you’re the CEO of a company and all of a sudden 100m people are using a new format every single day, it’s not something you ignore. You push investment into it”.
So keep your Instagram updated because the live video will come very soon in the near future.
