A few months ago, Instagram came with the Stories feature. The app now comes with some new updates that allow users to tag each other, add links and create a Boomerang from within the app. And yes, Instagram Stories with these new features increasingly resemble Snapchat.
For Instagram users, it is now possible to tag other users in a story or send the story to another user. From Thursday, November 10th, it is also possible to make Boomerang videos and place them on your Instagram stories directly from the Instagram app. Boomerang is a different app from Instagram, with which you can create gif-like images. The app makes multiple photos then put in quick succession, to create a short animation.
The third updated feature, adding links to a message, is only available to authenticate official users, such as celebrities and brands. This allows artists and journalists share songs articles immediately with their followers. In the Instagram Stories, as soon as you click on the options “see more” or “more”, you will be redirected to a website.
How does it work?
Update your Instagram to use these new features. Go to your story, take a picture and type @, then you can choose a user to tag or send the video to. If you send the video to another user, it will still be visible on your stories.
