Coca-Cola has set its view on taking over the social media world with its amazing gizmo. The iconic beverage company has showcased a custom made ‘selfie bottle’ that will take your picture as you slurp your favorite drink.
Designed by an ad agency called the Gefen Team for the Coca-Cola Summer Love campaign, Israel’s largest outdoor brand event, its camera captures a photo whenever it experiences a 70-degree tilt, the angle at which most people drink. Coca-Cola itself developed the product thanks to its Israeli branch that detected a gap in the market for novelty drinks.
The gimmicky product also comes with a dedicated share button, which lets you share your selfies on Facebook, Instagram, and Snapchat.
“Users tag themselves and their friends in photos on Coca-Cola’s social media assets. It really does the trick and makes the partygoers more present and active during the event, knowing they can share their special moments just by drinking,” says the Gefen Team.
This isn’t the first time the beverage titan set out into developing tech accessories. The company has already shown off an experiment earlier this year, aiming to recycle old bottles of Coke into legitimate virtual reality headsets. This ‘selfie bottle’ is company’s another effort to make you feel good about yourself whilst drinking its less than nutritious drink. Well, the positive thing is you’ll at least get a selfie from a perfect angle.
