Thanks to Amazon it’s very easy to research cars online but what about purchasing a car online like other products? There was a deal done recently with Seat in France but it allows the customers only to make a partial down payment and they still have to do a phone interview to agree to a sale. But the dream of buying a car with a single click might soon become a reality. Amazon and Fiat are forming a partnership and this will allow Italian motorists to buy the Fiat 500, 500L and Panda on the web at discounts up to 33 percent greater than seen at retail. You will need to go to the dealership to complete the buying process but unless you ordered a Tesla this is as direct as it gets.
The car will be delivered under two weeks after you complete the process, confirmed Fiat.
Incentivized online sales
This move is surely competitive as Fiat’s sales were on an upswing. It came to profit in this year from last year’s loss in Q3 2015. So this step in incentivized online sales could help it keep that edge. Customers surely will buy a Fiat 500 if they can order online and get a bargain price rather than going to the dealership.
So, do you think this is a good step to take on Fiat’s part?
