Huawei is reportedly planning to release two laptops with Windows a 13 inch and 15-inch screens. The laptops should be on the market next year and Foxconn will produce them.
Huawei announced its first two-in-one Windows 10 to the Mate Book in February this year. According to several Chinese sites, the manufacturer is not satisfied with the sale, yet, wants to expand into the laptop market with a 13 inch and 15-inch models.
The Huawei MateBook is a Windows 10-tablet with a keyboard. The device has a 12-inch screen of the IPS-type LCD with a resolution of 2160×1440 pixels. The processor is a Core m chip from Intel.
As the MateBook was launched at MWC this year, we can expect the new notebooks to arrive at MWC 2017. Obviously, the MateBook featured a Core M, but we assume the new notebooks will have Core i5 or Core i7 chipsets. Under the hood, there should be at least an 8 GB of RAM, graphical cards, USB Type-C ports, Quad HD resolutions, and generous batteries.
The laptops may carry price tags of $600, $700 or even $1000.
The Chinese manufacturer is following in the footsteps of Xiaomi. This competitor expanded into the market for laptops with the Notebook Air models last year.
