The internet is a place that makes you feel better and horrible at the same time. Connecting friends through social media, online transaction, and many other things make your life easier. On the other hand, online hacking, fake news, cyber attacks and many such things make you feel helpless and frustrated. Those are things that make your life difficult and you just want to delete yourself from the internet forever. Committing such digital suicide wasn’t an easy way out, until now.
Wille Dahlbo and Linus Unnebäck, developers from Sweden have created Deseat.me, a simple website that helps you delete yourself from the internet. You will be able to wipe out your entire existence with just a few clicks using this website.
Using Deseat.me is quite easy but time-consuming. First of all, you have to log in using your Google accounts. The website will then scan all those accounts and services associated with your Gmail account and will display the list of all those accounts. From that list, you’ll have to select the accounts you want to ‘delete,’ ‘add to delete queue,’ or ‘keep.’
You may have more sites associated with other accounts that you want to delete. Just visit these sites individually and follow their instructions.
The website is absolutely safe as it’s using Google’s OAuth protocol. So, it doesn’t have the access to any of your login information. The process is a bit tiresome, but will help you wipe out a big chunk of yourself from the internet.
