Nvidia testing autonomous car technology in California

Electric cars and autonomous cars are the trends now. All the big companies are trying their hand at it. Now Nvidia has joined the bandwagon to develop autonomous cars. You might be able to see a driverless car rolling around in California with the iconic Nvidia logo.

A car of their own

California DMV added Nvidia to the list of companies that can test their driverless cars on the roads of California. According to The Verge, after getting the needed paperwork Nvidia wasted no time at all. Nvidia is not exactly an auto car maker but they develop and produce the processors that powers the autonomous cars, so made a car of their own to test those processors when needed.

Nvidia also announced in September that they are working with Baidu to create an AI platform for the driverless cars.

Almost all the companies who are serious about developing autonomous cars and technologies heads to California. Just recently two little-known automakers Wheego and Valeo was granted permission by the State Government to test their autonomous cars on the road but the complete list includes giants like Google, Honda, Ford, Mercedes, BMW, and NVIDIA’s partner Baidu.

Are you excited about this surge in autonomous car technology?
