There is an apparent barrier to buying an electric car. It takes almost 40 mins to an hour to fully charge an electric car. Depending on the model it might take even longer. So this is a problem but there is even a more annoying problem than that. Imagine you are are a Tesla owner and you need to charge your car, so you go up to a Supercharger station and find out that every terminal is occupied by a fully-charged car. This is a very big annoyance and a problem for Tesla and they need to address it soon. Tesla CEO Elon Musk recently admitted this problem in twitter and promised that his company “will take action,” as spotted by Autoblog. What the solution would be like is still not clear, though.
No more free charging
Tesla recently announced that from January 1st customer will not get free unlimited charging with a new vehicle purchase anymore. This decision also helped Tesla with the upcoming Model 3 to hit a lower price point. This step might also help keep charging stations from getting even more crowded. Elon Musk was able to make a reusable rocket to go to Mars and plans to colonize Mars, so it is safe to assume that he will find a way to solve this problem.
So do you have any bad experiences with Tesla Supercharging stations?
