Sadly, we get utterly disgusted and tired of people’s dishonesty to an extent that we permanently decide to no longer meet anyone new or make new friends. For them, Toyota’s “miniature communication partner developed to provide companionship” may be the perfect solution (of course, there are other reasons for owning a robot).
This tiny four-inch robot called “Kirobo Mini” can perfectly fit in the cup holder of Corolla that can communicate and also comprehend facial expressions of its human partner.
“Oh no, what has happened?”
This will be the Kirobo’s question if it can detect sadness in its companion’s facial expression. Somebody is better than nobody, right?
Toyota, world’s largest automaker has plans to distribute Kirobo all over Japan by next year at $400 (without tax); however, the company has not mentioned anything about making the robot available on a global scale.
Things to talk about with Kirobo mini…
Amazingly, this can clearly recall its owner’s preferences and dislikes, including every journey it has undertaken with them. According to its maker, the robot can be also connected with other tech devices in home and office for more interactive communication.
Japan’s solution to aging problem.
At this time when Japan’s population level is constantly dropping, robots are the only appropriate solution; as a result, androids are now tinkered with for enabling women to work using childminders and tending the elderly in Japan.
There are companies that are designing virtual high schools for keeping all the anti-social teenagers connected with the society.
Toyota believes that Kirobo Mini will “contribute to making life and society more abundant.”
