After all the problems surrounding the Galaxy Note 7, Samsung is now busy with the development of the new Galaxy S8 smartphone. This handset is expected to be released in early 2017. Meanwhile, several rumors about the new smartphone are floating on the internet. According to the latest reports, Samsung would supply the S8 in two screen sizes, including a larger 6-inch variation.
The standard Samsung Galaxy S7 features a 5.1-inch screen. Galaxy S7 Edge offers a 5.5 inch one and the Note 7 has a screen size of 5.7 inches. However, the standard Galaxy S8 would get a 5-inch screen. The second model, which is anticipated to be called “Galaxy S8 Plus” will have a larger screen of 6-inch. This increase in size is mainly due to the bezels surrounding the screen.
It looks like a smart move from Samsung in order to fill the demand for the Galaxy Note 7 with a new one. Thus, the Korean smartphone manufacturer can prevent a group of consumers from turning to competitors. However, some previous reports claimed the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S8 will be delayed until April next year.
