The automaker Volvo has partnered with Microsoft to build the business chat app Skype for Business and exploring the possibilities of intelligent personal assistant Cortana in the car.
Volvo will install Skype for Business in its Series 90 models. These business users will be able to and join meetings with one click via a large center display. The can also view their upcoming meetings and participant details.

said Ben Canning, Director of Product Management for Skype for Business at Microsoft.
“We’re thrilled to extend modern meetings to Volvo cars.”
The app works via a touchscreen that is placed in the middle, although you can also operate some of the control elements via the buttons on the steering wheel.
Cortana integration should easily carry out tasks for Volvo car owners while keeping their eyes on the road, says the automaker. It is unknown whether and when Cortana will be in Volvo cars because the company didn’t mention any specific detail about this expect the intention to integrate the digital assistant.
However, Microsoft is working on Cortana as much as possible to integrate places in electronics. Cortana began several years ago, on Windows Phone, but is now also compatible with Android, iOS and Windows The digital assistant may even work with IoT devices in the future.
