Now you’ve got something cool to do while your Netflix show is loading. Based on its original shows, the online streaming company has created Netflix Infinite Runner, an endless running game starring popular characters from its four popular shows: Narcos, Stanger Things, Marco Polo, and Orange is the New Black.
8-bit delight
The side-scrolling, 8-bit games are more like a mobile game where you can run, jump or double jump. There are four levels based on those four popular shows of Netflix. You can play as Mike Wheeler from Stanger Things, Pablo Escobar from Narcos, Piper Chapman from Orange is the New Black, and Marco Polo from his titular show.
Any character you choose sprints through the virtual world based on the show where the character is actually from. Means if you choose Mike Wheeler, you have to escape security from Hawkins National Laboratory, as well as outrun the Demogorgon. Choosing Pablo Escobar will make you avoid capture in Columbia, While Piper has to catch chickens and avoid cafeteria trays. You’ll be glad to know that chiptune versions of the shows’ theme songs are present in the game. And the best part is, if you play as Mike Wheeler, you’ll get some mid-game help from none other than Eleven.
As for controls, you can press the space bar to make your character jump. To make them jump twice as high, double tapping the spacebar will do the trick. Netflix Infinite Runner game is already available to play in North America. The game is pretty basic and simple, but no doubt it’s the best way to pass the time rather than waiting for your favorite show to load.
