Tesla’s Enhanced Autopilot update was due for months and after all the waiting, it’s finally here! And this time it is for real. After not being updated for a while, this update is now active for all HW2-era that is, self-driving capable Model S and Model X vehicles with Autopilot enabled. You might need to adjust the camera angle from the technicians of Tesla but if u don’t need then you are good to go. The car itself will inform if it’s in need of camera adjustment or not. Ifs the angles are ok then you are lucky. If it works like it was promised then you will get a more sophisticated take on semi-autonomy.
Autopilot for HW2 rolling out to all HW2 cars today. Please be cautious. Some cars will require adjustment of camera pitch angle by service.

As you can understand from the name this update is less about reinventing the Autopilot rather than adding some upgrades which are useful in the real world and meaningful. To navigate in tricky roads Autosteer is better while smart is now not only limited to move your car in a straight line but also to drive in curved driveways. An automatic lane change feature is also added which will help the rider get around slow-moving traffic on the highway. All the updates will not become active right away but if you are an owner you will understand the difference.
