LG G5 was a groundbreaking design but sadly it didn’t result in expected sales but we already learned a lot about the next mobile standard-bearer of LG. A picture was posted via The Verge which is a picture of LG’s upcoming G6 and provides the first half look of LG’s flagship device. From the picture, it’s not clear but it has a tall 2:1 (1,440 x 2,880) screen ratio and only that can be revealed without seeing the whole product. But LG is putting a strong emphasis on minimalist bezel design, it’s apparent that the inspiration was Xiaomi Mi Mix’s rounded screen corners. During Mobile World Congress 2017 on February 26th, the device will be officially unveiled for the media to see and we will be able to talk more about it.
The good news is it will have a headphone jack. No headphone jacks returning is not becoming a trend yet, fortunately. The device will have a sealed battery and a waterproof design. There are rumors that LG is moving away from the modular design of LG G5, which can be a good thing or bad depending on your preference but LG is emphasizing on safely more after the Samsung debacle. Will this be enough to attain lost market share that remains to be seen.
