Slack is one of the most popular platforms to communicate in an office and PayPal just made it easier to send money to them without leaving the conversation. The online money transfer company just launched a bot for the Slack platform, which will let you send money to your colleague with a 5-word command.
When was the last time you remember to pay back your colleague for the coffee? Workplace transaction could become complicated if you always forget to pay back, don’t carry proper changes. However, it won’t happen again. If your office or social group uses Slack and you have a PayPal account you can pay them back just by typing “/PayPal” followed by your command. For instance: “/PayPal send $5 to @Sarah.”
Before you start, you have to install PayPal bot from the Slack App Directory. Link your PayPal account once installed. You have to configure your preferred transaction setting as well as when you like to review and approve transactions.
Albeit this is the first time that PayPal has launched a bot, but PayPal integrated with large communication service before. Last year, Facebook Messenger got the ability to let customers track their transactions within the chat app.
As of Tuesday, PayPal bot for Slack will be available in the US, UK, Canada, and Australia.
