It has been 17 years already, since 2000, when Nokia brought the indestructible and never exhausting power bank called Nokia 3310 in the market. Nokia intends to bring it back at the MWC, which will take place in Barcelona this year.
What makes 3310 a truly outstanding cell phone?
The old-school device has the ability to sustain tremendous impact, regardless of the surface, it comes in contact with (water, mud). I remember jumping into a pool of water out of excitement, only to later find my Nokia 3310 still in my pocket and perfectly functional.
The phone’s likely price will be €59 with its long lasting battery life and an invincible exterior, features that will be solely focused for marketing it. Despite the phone being no longer available in the market, there is still a profound interest for the phone. Many third parties like Amazon, Marketplace, and eBay are still selling them.
Nokia’s future releases
Nokia plans to unveil three additional series called Nokia 3,5 and 6 at the MWC event. The likely price range will be from €150 to €250, as per VentureBeat.
However, it is worth mentioning that the latest Nokia 3310 will not be manufactured by the same Nokia that designed the original 3310 and N95. The rights to these names have been acquired by another Finnish company named HMD Global.
To me, the device is the ultimate powerhouse, and personally, I loved playing Snake! Let us also learn about your thoughts about the decision for rebranding the Nokia 3310 by commenting underneath.
