Imagine a dress only made for you that reveals your personality. Google just made it possible for you. The company teamed up with Ivyrevel, H&M’s digital fashion house to create an app called Coded Couture, which will track your activity for a week and create your personalized Data Dress based on your lifestyle.
If you want to create your own Data Dress, the steps are pretty easy. First, you need to tell the Coded Couture app what type of dress you want to wear: business, gala or party. After choosing the occasion, you need to select your preferred style.
The app depends on Google’s Awareness API, which helps the app when it queries for data by using all the sensors on a phone. It can detect all your activities, like where you go for a run, for a dinner with your friends, whether you dance with them or not, also the temperature of where you live. By the end of the week, your dress will almost become a map of your activities. Over the course of the week, you can check the progress. Once done, you can also customize the dress if you don’t like any particular pattern of the dress.
It’s ok if you don’t want to purchase the dress. However, the dress will be one-of-a-kind as it only contains your unique data and personality.
Coded Couture isn’t available yet. Ivyrevel is only making a beta version available. You can go to Coded Couture’s website and sign up for a beta version of the app.
