NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) discovers earth-size, habitable zones planets. According to scientists’ expectation the planets may have liquid water along with right atmospheric condition. Nevertheless, potential of finding water in its liquid state are mostly with the three in their start’s habitable zone. In an press event in Washinton, DC NASA gave the new findings regarding the exoplanet. Moreover, the exoplanet NASA uses to mean, planets outside our solar system.
Where are the “Exoplanets”?
The planets circle the star TRAPPIST-1. Distance between the star TRAPPIST-1 (Transiting Planets and Planetesimals Small Telescope) and the earth is 40 light years. 40 light years denotes 235 trillion miles. Nonetheless, the system of planets is relatively close to us in the constellation Aquarius. This discovery sets a record. Moreover, scientists found the greatest number of habitable- zone-planet circling a single star. Associate administrator of NASA’s Science Mission Directorate in Washinton Thomas Zurbuchen signified the discovery. He stated the importance saying “… discovery could be a significant piece in the puzzle of finding habitable environments, places that are conducive to life”.
At the press conference one of the researchers projecting that information about the planets will soon be available. Because, TRAPPIST-1 is relatively near to the earth.
