President of Alphabet Inc. has always had a fascination for airships. Ogling the old Zeppelin like airships perhaps he devised a way to build one. Alphabet’s annual proxy statement hints that Sergey Brin works on his secret airship project in a Silicon Valley hangar.
LTA Research & Exploration, LLC
A unit of Google, Planetary Ventures took over a large hangar from Ame NASA for making it a laboratory. Reports say that Brin’s airship is getting in shape inside the lab. According to sources, the name of the company is LTA Research and Exploration, LLC. LTA is an abbreviation for “lighter than air”. Moreover, LTA means a kind of aircraft filled with gas and instead of flying, it floats. Experts believe that this type of aircraft is enormously cost effective.
According to a Bloomberg report, Brin already appointed a CEO to the company, Alan Weston. Weston is perfectly fit for the job by dint of his experience. The CEO is the former director of programs at NASA Ames.
However, the whole matter about LTA Research and Exploration is sort of an enigma. Both Sergey Brin and Alan Weston abstained from commenting regarding the news. Additionally, no one knows whether the project is just a hobby of the Google co-founder or a business enterprise. Nevertheless, as Larry Page has his flying car why can’t Sergey Brin build an airship?

Actually modern airships are referred to as hybrid airships were started by Aerocraft at the time Aeros Worldwide corporation. If it is just a plain old airship then the float part is right. If its a modern hybrid airship then it is part air foil about 20% lift comes from it acting like a wing.
Sorry I had to correct you on the float part . Yes it partially floats but it also gets lift from its air foil like a airplane if its a hybrid airship!!!
